Local Scottish foods are used for cooking meals where possible.
For breakfast, we offer you a choice of cereals and home made apple
muesli, or feel free to request porridge. Our standard breakfast
includes butcher made Cumberland sausages, smoked bacon; eggs cooked to
order and grilled tomato. However, other options include pancakes with
maple syrup, cheese & ham or kippers. Orange juice, tea or coffee,
toast and fresh fruit are also available. Katy makes her own jams and
marmalades; ever the adventurer, some flavours are obscure but delicious
- spiced rhubarb jam; plum, brandy and walnut conserve; hedgerow jam or
pineapple and marrow jam - but sometimes it is just plain strawberry!
Where possible, we use locally sourced ingredients and fair trade
products.
Tourism award for exceeding customer expectations
Our packed lunches, which are available with prior notice and cost £5,
include freshly made sandwiches or rolls, crisps, fresh fruit, fruit
juice and a chocolate biscuit to finish off. If you have your own
thermos, we will happily fill it for you.
Gourmet evening meals are available with some forewarning. We offer a
set 3-course meal for £17.50 using fresh, local ingredients wherever
possible. David currently works as a chef at Gleneagles a couple of
days a week and Katy is a good cook who produces most of the desserts.
She has the passion for recipes and David has the passion for cooking
them with style, so together Katy and David complement each other well.

Breast of Chicken with an Avocado Salsa
Barnsley Lamb Chop with our Garden Mint Sauce
Drummond Trout with Blue Cheese and Walnut
Leek and Green Lentil Tarte
Served with a selection of vegetables (sometimes from the
Garden) and potatoes
Deserts:
Spicy Marshmallow Ice-cream
Home made Banoffi Pots
Chocolate and Cardamom Truffle Torte
Plum Claffouti
Finished off with tea or coffee, and mints.
We are not licensed but you are welcome to bring in your own wine or
beer which we will happily serve for you.
Special diets are easily catered for; just let us know your
requirements.
For Food lovers
Either ask us to cook for you, or visit one of the many restaurants in the area.
We are well served by a choice of restaurants, from fine dining at the award winning Bank Restaurant, located in an old bank building in Crieff, to the Village Inn in Muthill which offers both excellent bar meals or delicious food in its restaurant.
There is also a vide variety of bistros, cafes and bars both in the town and in the immediate Strathearn area.
