Outdoor Mosaics - How to Mosaic your Garden - 5 day residential course and accommodation Crieff, Perthshire

Mosaic your Garden
Monday to Friday 4th to 8th May 2009

Extend your knowledge of mosaic making and enjoy creating bigger and more complex projects over five days.
This class uses materials which have the strength to endure Scottish winters, such as stoneware, porcelain and glass (including wine bottles which need to be emptied first!).
New techniques learnt, will be the reverse and transfer techniques, and the application of external mosaics directly onto walls. You will have the opportunity to set a small area of pebble mosaic into a pathway; mosaic a wider range of garden surfaces, such as walls and paths, tables and pots and create a beautifully smooth, frost-proof mosaic garden table, complete with wrought-iron base (if you have the space for it in your car!).
Not all of the projects can be taken away, such as the pebble mosaic and those applied to the walls, but you will learn how to do it for when you get home!

Meet up on the Sunday evening over a glass of wine, to peruse the inspirational books, talk through ideas and meet the other participants.

£415 per person, sharing a twin-bedded or double room *
£450 per person, single occupancy *

Prices includes 5 nights B&B accommodation from Sunday, a welcoming glass of wine on the Sunday evening at Galvelmore House with the opportunity to meet the other participants, light lunch and refreshments each day, tuition by Jan Kilpatrick of Wild Tiles and all materials.
