Award winning full Scottish breakfasts, and delicious evening meals are prepared and cooked by David, cooked by David, who until recently worked part time as a chef at the famous Gleneagles Hotel - Vegetarian diets are also catered for. Katy and David have lived in Crieff for a number of years, and are delighted to advise and discuss places to visit whilst on your holiday in Scotland.

Crieff is situated in the Strathearn area of Perthshire, Scotland, with views over the Grampian Mountains. Neighbouring towns and villages include Auchterarder, Gleneagles and Comrie. Within Perth & Kinross, the towns of Pitlochry, Aberfeldy, Blairgowrie, and the City of Perth are all with in a day trip distance of Crieff, giving you plenty of touring time with many roads touching on the Highlands. St Andrews, the home of golf, Edinburgh, Stirling and Glasgow are all within easy distance.

Crieff and the immediate area hosts a variety of Visitor Attractions, including the award winning Famous Grouse Experience, The Crieff Visitor Centre which hosts the Drovers' Story, Auchingarrich Wildlife Park, and Innerpeffrey Library. The area is also renowned for its walking, with an annual walking festival 'The Drovers' Tryst' taking place in October, for the range of 9 and 18 hole golf courses and fishing. Many other outdoor pursuits are also available in the area.

Breakfast and pre-booked evening meals are served in the atmospheric dining room. The Dining Room, has a beautiful fireplace, the atmosphere created is one of informality - a wonderful setting for meals made with fresh Scottish, locally grown ingredients, with diets and vegetarians food also catered for. Guests often swap their holiday experiences over some delicious Scottish food!

The rooms at Galvelmore are ideal for families and couples wanting overnight accommodation, or indeed as a base for your holiday in Perthire. Each bedroom has been beautifully furnished with modern, comfortable beds and attractive soft furnishings. The wooden panelled lounge with open log fire is available to guests throughout the day; games and a variety of books and magazines is an ideal place for the family to relax. Many of the books will give information on the what to do in and around the surrounding area.

Galvelmore House is fully centrally heated, has a large garden to the rear with views to the Grampian Hills. Dave and Katy like to make their guests feel at home and not only provide tea and coffee making facilities in their room, with colour televisions, but also provide a comfortable lounge with log fire to relax in. Evening meals are available with special dietry requirements catered for. David has worked many years as a chef and and used to work a few days a week as a chef at Gleneagles - so you are assured of good food!

Children are most welcome and we can provide cot, high chair, toys and folding beds for older children
